Purpl
Terms of Service
The basic terms that apply when you use the Purpl service.
Effective August 14, 2026
These Terms govern your use of the Purpl web service, server API, and related features provided by Plum (“we,” “us,” or “our”).
By creating a Purpl account or using the service, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. The open-source Purpl SDK is governed separately by the open-source license displayed in its repository.
1. Key terms
- “Service” means the Purpl dashboard, server API, notification delivery, remote sales configuration, and related features we provide.
- “User” means a developer or business that creates a Purpl account or joins an organization to use the Service.
- “Application” means an app registered with Purpl and connected to Apple or Google in-app purchases.
- “Purchase Customer Information” means information sent by a User or provided by a store to verify purchases and calculate entitlements for an Application customer.
2. Accounts and organizations
- You must keep account information accurate and protect access to your account and connected services.
- Organization members may use Application and customer information only within their assigned permissions.
- You are responsible for activity under your management within your account and organizations.
- You may not share accounts, access the Service without authorization, bypass security, or interfere with another user’s use.
3. Scope of the Service
Purpl provides features for in-app purchase operations, including store notification receipt, purchase verification and synchronization, entitlement calculation, product, catalog and paywall configuration, and webhook and Telegram notifications.
You may use the open-source SDK without the Purpl server. When you use hosted features, the configuration and connections registered in the dashboard apply.
4. Store transactions and payment responsibility
- Apple App Store or Google Play ultimately determines product pricing, availability, payment approval, and refunds.
- Purpl is not the seller, payment processor, or consumer refund contact for in-app purchases.
- You must correctly configure store accounts, products, notification addresses, and API credentials and comply with each store’s policies.
- Purpl cannot control results caused by store delays, outages, policy changes, or incorrect User configuration.
5. Purchase Customer Information
You must have lawful authority and a valid legal basis to send Purchase Customer Information to Purpl and instruct us to process it. You must also provide any notices required for your Application customers.
We process Purchase Customer Information on your instructions only as needed to provide and secure the Service, respond to incidents, and comply with law. See the Privacy Policy for details about information categories and external services.
6. External services and destinations
External services such as Apple, Google, Telegram, and webhook destinations are governed by their providers’ terms and policies. When you configure an external connection, Purpl sends the information needed for that feature on your instructions.
You are responsible for the access controls and security of webhook addresses, credentials, Telegram chats, and external systems you designate.
7. Automatic translation and AI features
Automatic translations and future AI-generated results are drafts intended to assist your work. You must review their accuracy, length, context, and compliance with store policies before applying them.
8. Prohibited use
- Using the Service in violation of law, third-party rights, or store policies
- Accessing another organization, Application, or customer information without authorization
- Interfering with the security, stability, or normal operation of the Service
- Sending malicious code, fraudulent transactions, excessive automated requests, or deceptive purchase configuration
- Using the Service to collect or monitor personal information without authorization
9. Changes, maintenance, and restrictions
We may change features or perform maintenance to improve the safety, quality, and functionality of the Service. We will provide advance notice of material changes or planned downtime when reasonably possible.
We may restrict or suspend an account or Application if there is a Terms violation, security risk, legal requirement, plan-limit overage, or material risk to the Service. We will provide an opportunity to resolve the issue when the situation is not urgent.
10. Fees
If we introduce a paid plan or change an existing price, we will announce the scope and effective date in advance. You will not be charged before you choose a paid feature.
11. Termination
You may disconnect external services and request termination of an account, organization, or Application. After termination, information is retained and deleted according to the Privacy Policy and applicable law.
You should review and retain any configuration or records you need before termination. Transactions and products held by a store are not deleted merely because you stop using Purpl.
12. Intellectual property and open source
Rights in the Purpl Service, brand, web interface, and content we provide remain with us or the applicable rightsholder. You retain rights in the Application configuration and content you submit.
Use, copying, modification, and distribution of the open-source Purpl SDK are governed by the license in its repository. These Terms do not limit rights granted by that license.
13. Responsibility and disclaimers
We use reasonable efforts to provide and secure the Service. We do not guarantee outcomes caused by store or external-service outages, communication failures, User configuration errors, or events beyond our reasonable control.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or special damages, lost profits, or data loss. Nothing in this section limits liability for our willful misconduct or gross negligence or rights that cannot be limited by law.
14. Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. The parties will first try in good faith to resolve a dispute. If they cannot, the dispute will be handled by a court with jurisdiction under applicable law.
